The primary objective of the Alpinum SICAV-SIF – Asian Equity Long-Short Fund is to achieve long-term, risk adjusted capital appreciation. The AELS Sub-Fund invests in various investment funds and fund-like investment instruments (hereinafter “funds”) which themselves pursue mainly alternative equity related investment strategies. While the objective of the AELS Sub-Fund is to pursue an absolute return approach, it seeks to do so investing the majority of its exposure into either UCITS, UCI, CIS (based in different jurisdictions), hedge funds strategies as well as making opportunistically use of direct securities such as exchange-traded-funds (ETF), futures, options, forwards, swaps or credit default swaps (CDS) for either gaining long or short market exposure.
